Team Legacy Assist is competing in Targa events as part of the Australian Tarmac Championship.  Team Legacy Assist made their tarmac rally debut in Targa Tasmania 2011 and they are constantly striving to improve on their results in each event that they compete in.  Whilst undertaking the challenge of competing in these events , the team are also raising funds* and awareness for Legacy and the Commando Welfare Trust.

Legacy is a voluntary organisation providing services to Australian families suffering financially or socially after the incapacitation or death of a spouse or parent during or after their defence for service.  Legacy currently cares for around 90,000 widows and 1,900 children and dependants throughout Australia.

The purpose of the Commando Welfare Trust is to provide discretionary funds through a board of Trustees to support the families of serving and ex-serving members of Special Operations Command east coast units, who have been killed or injured in the course of their duty.

How funds are used: Services include funding for advocacy, medical support, accommodation assistance, financial assistance, transport, children’s education and the provision of personal development opportunities like participation in Outward Bound or Young Endeavour programs.

* All funds raised will be split equally between Legacy and the Commando Welfare Trust.

THE CAR - Datsun 240Z

When you see a Datsun on the road, you are probably envisioning another time.  Datsun, by name, no longer exists--it became Nissan in the 1980s.

But in the '70s, a host of Datsuns redefined what it meant to drive small and sporty cars.

In 2004 - Sports Car International Magazine named the Datsun240Z number two on the list of Top Sports Cars of the 1970’s.
